The Importance of Your Landing Page

Is your landing page costing you money? The main purpose of landing pages is to prompt your visitors to do what you want them to, this is achieved through your content and page design. Sometimes content may not even be necessary for your homepage look at Google for example, it’s pretty clear what they want you to do next. This is how you should strive to set your landing page up, letting your visitors know what they should next.

Landing PageSome key elements to think about: the design, the content, and the user friendliness. What are all of these telling your visitors? Color has a lot to do with the way your users will act, so this is one area you should take a good look at or you could hire some professionals to set things up for you. The content what is it telling your users? Is it giving them a lot of good information or is it just throwing sales pitches at them? If you answered the later I would recommend that you revise and rethink the information you include on your landing page. You should provide your visitors with good persuasive content that helps them to better understand your product(s) or service(s) and allows them to make an informed decision. Last but not least you will want to consider the user friendliness of your website, this encompasses a lot, even from the navigation to your shopping cart. Some other things is when and where your customers are presented information, they should easily be able to see what is in there shopping cart and also be able to easily add things to it as necessary.  You will also want to check for and do away with forms which clear the whole thing out even if the customer just forgot one field, nothing frustrates a user faster then having to start all over from scratch again, they may easily move on to the next “better” store if this happens.

There is much more involved with this then just looking at these three things, some stuff will be easily and readily picked out, but others you may have to enlist the help of professionals to analyze your traffic flow and see where your visitors are coming from.
